NORclad® MicroShades Brunnea
Why use NORclad ® Timber Cladding?
Offering several choices of finish and colour, not only is NORclad ® timber cladding durable, it also presents a superb appearance that will not deteriorate with age, but on the contrary, will enrich and deepen, unlike natural woods such as cedar and larch, and other thermally modified products which go silvery grey and black very quickly. NORclad® MicroShades Brunnea is treated with a copper pigment and is extremely similar in colour to cedar and contains UV Inhibitors.
NORclad Koppers Microshades “Brunnea” Treatment
The Koppers Microshades treatment process impregnates wood cladding with a blend of MicroPro preservative and Microshades ͞Brunnea͟ pigment. From experience to date, exposure trials and commercial practice, Koppers would expect the appearance of Microshades ͞Brunnea͟ treated wood to enrich after initial exposure. In addition to being low maintenance, NORclad® timber cladding is easy to install and significantly cheaper than traditional cedar and larch timber cladding, making it an affordable solution for a single house or a whole development, be it residential or commercial. NORclad® can be easily stained or painted, to give a totally unique finish, and is available with fire protection to UK and European standards.
The wood cladding colour and its intensity will then remain relatively consistent for a period of up to 2 years, depending on exposure aspect. Beyond this point, the colour of the timber cladding will fade gradually and evenly. The rate of fade will be totally determined by exposure conditions. NORclad® timber cladding is also an environmentally friendly choice. It offers far better thermal insulation than bricks or concrete, which will reduce your energy bills; it comes from sustainable sources and is PEFC, FSC and Greenguard certified; it helps reduce CO2 footprint of your building, and it is fully recyclable.
